The Australian Strategic Policy Institute advises the Australian Government on security, defense, and brainstorming solutions to policy issues, generates international strategic viewpoints, and acts upon them. This report, produced by them in 2020, includes details about the reeducation camps, forced labor and surveillance, in Xinjiang and beyond.

Sheffield Hallam is a university in England and home of the Forced Labor Lab, an research initiative by Sheffield Hallam’s Helena Kennedy Centre for International Justice, which aims to provide evidence about the international workings of forced labor, in attempts to fully understand the horrific realities of millions. Among their reports are Built on Repression, which begins to explain how PVC materials are dependent on Uyghur labor and consequently, the environmental abuses in the region. Another report, titled the Driving Force, sheds light on how Uyghur forced labor is used in automotive supply chains in various ways such as steel, aluminum, copper, batteries, electronics and tires. Another report, Over-Exposed, supplies details about an exposure assessment for solar industry sourcing in Xinjiang.










A comprehensive report of Uyghur history may be found in the Oxford Research Encyclopedia Asian History, providing necessary background information about the Uyghurs and the dangerous impact of the reeducation camps on their culture.




Mara Hvistendahl, a journalist at The Intercept_, an award-winning news organization, wrote a report entitled Toxic Tiles: How Vinyl Flooring Made With Uyghur Forced Labor Ends Up at Big Box Stores. Mara’s reporting pulls on both qualitative and quantitative data, stemming from an incident with an American public figure who realized where her product was actually made.


This feature by the United States Holocause Memorial Museum describes the persecution of the Uyghurs through mass detention, surveillance, enforced sterilization, forced labor, forced assimilation and genocide.
